- 3+ years hands-on experience with car repairs, electricals or roadside assistance.
- Own basic toolkit — spanners, pliers, screwdrivers, jack and gauge.
- Two-wheeler or a small van so you can reach customers across your locality.
- Aadhaar, PAN and driving licence for background verification.
- Smartphone with WhatsApp to receive job details, pins and photographs.
- Customer-first attitude — punctual, tidy, and honest about what a car actually needs.

Mechanic FAQs
Do I have to pay to join?
No. There is no application fee, no onboarding fee and no charge for training. Anyone asking you to pay to join Namma ResQ is not us — report it to nammaresq@gmail.com immediately.
How and when am I paid?
Payment runs on a weekly settlement cycle directly to your registered bank account. You receive a transparent job sheet listing each job, so you can reconcile it before payment lands.
Do I need to own a van?
No. A two-wheeler is sufficient for most roadside assistance and electrical jobs. Vans are needed for towing operators and for technicians carrying larger stock, and we can discuss this at onboarding.
How many jobs will I get?
Job volume depends on your locality, your availability and your customer rating. Mechanics who are punctual, communicative and well-rated receive the most work, especially those covering high-demand areas like Koramangala, Whitefield and Electronic City.
Can I keep my existing workshop or customers?
Yes. Many of our mechanics run their own workshop or serve their own customers alongside Namma ResQ. You simply tell us the hours and days you are available, and we only send you jobs within that window.
Is training provided?
Yes. Induction covers our brand standards, customer handling, documentation and safety. We also run periodic training on modern diagnostics, EV 12-volt systems, AGM battery procedure and start-stop vehicles.
What documents do I need?
Aadhaar card, PAN card, a valid driving licence, bank account details for settlement, and a passport-size photograph. All documents are verified before your first job.
